€120 Million Fine!!! Europe Now Enforces WCAG 2.1 Standards

The European Union has enforced the European Accessibility Act (EAA) — strict digital accessibility standards since June 2025. Non-compliant companies face fines up to €3 million (approx. 120 million Baht!!!) and consumers can sue for damages directly.

WCAG 2.1 Level AA is now mandatory, covering all websites, apps, e-commerce, and digital services — enabling people with visual, hearing, and physical disabilities to access them equally.

Over 10 million digital businesses across Europe are affected — but this is a major step toward making the online world truly for everyone.

Thailand faces the same challenge and needs to accelerate development too. Imagine if we had this kind of strong progress here.
