“The 30-Second Ramp Check!!!”

Unsafe ramps are everywhere — but anyone can check them in 30 seconds with these 5 points:

1. Slope — If wheelchair users lean forward, it’s too steep. Law says max 1:12 slope.

2. Handrails — Must have both sides. If longer than 1.80m, height 75-90 cm.

3. Landing space — Need turning space at top AND bottom, at least 1.50m.

4. Surface — Step on it. If slippery, it’s dangerous. Must use anti-slip material.

5. Width — Minimum 90 cm for wheelchairs to pass comfortably.

Ministry regulations set these standards for EVERYONE’s safety.

Walking past a ramp? Stop and look. Tell us — was it built right?
