Subject: Public questions regarding the new sidewalk standards

Members of the public are pleased and grateful to see continuous sidewalk improvements. Referring to today’s post by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration page at 7:36 a.m. about the newly improved Pracharat Sai 2 sidewalk, as shown in the image, I would like to raise the following questions based on the points marked in the image:

1) Tactile guiding blocks: At the bus stop seating area, if a blind person walks along this route, could they be obstructed, inconvenienced, or risk stumbling into people sitting there?

2) Ramp slope: Does the slope exceed the minimum standard of 1:12?

3) Drainage grating: Since the grating has long slots running lengthwise, could it create an obstacle for wheelchairs when going up or down the ramp?

4) Blind spots in these construction standards: Have these issues been reviewed and improved, and are contractors being required to raise their construction quality accordingly?

Regards,

Accessibility Is Freedom
