Thailand’s Ministry of Labor has signed an MOU with 21 leading companies — including Central Restaurants, SF Major Cineplex, and Huawei — to create over 2,700 jobs for people with disabilities this year.
Building on past success, more than 40,000 people with disabilities have already found employment in 2023-2024. This program offers employers significant tax benefits: double expense deductions when hiring people with disabilities, and triple deductions if people with disabilities make up over 60% of the workforce. It’s expected to generate over 2.3 billion baht in income for this community.
Work is dignity. It’s not just help — it’s real recognition of ability.
Thailand has over 2 million people with disabilities. This is the challenge we must urgently address to ensure everyone has equal quality of life.
Imagine if every person with disabilities had work that matches their abilities.
