Accessibility Is a Global Conversation – and It’s Moving Fast

Ever had that moment? Watching a video in a noisy place and turning on captions, or rolling a suitcase up a ramp and feeling life is just easier. These small moments are the result of Universal Design — built for people with disabilities, but better for everyone.

Today, accessibility has become a global agenda. International organizations, conference stages, and tech startups are all talking about it. AI tools like automatic image descriptions and speech-to-text are becoming widely available across platforms. The WCAG 3.0 standard for designing accessible websites is also in development.

Think about this: Over 1 billion people worldwide have a disability, and 83% of working-age adults will experience a disability in their lifetime — whether from accidents, illness, or aging. Universal design isn’t just the right thing to do. It’s smart — for business and for everyday life.

The world is having this conversation. And Thailand? We’re moving in this direction too. The global conversation includes everyone — and everyone is working together.
