Brazil has launched a massive national program “Novo Viver sem Limite,” investing over 6.5 billion Reals (approximately 13 billion Baht) to build a more equitable society for everyone.
The program has two major goals: training 1.25 million teachers in inclusive education, starting with 250,000 in 2024, and providing 3,000 accessible school buses — now deployed nationwide as of April 2025.
Brazil has 3.47 million students with special needs, with 92.6% learning in regular classrooms — close to Thailand’s 90% inclusion rate. The difference? Brazil invests in teacher training through 120-hour courses at 50 universities nationwide. Plus, those accessible school buses solve transportation challenges for students with disabilities in remote areas.
