Milan Cortina 2026 is making history! The first Winter Paralympics with dedicated quiet spaces — peaceful rooms with noise-canceling headphones, investing over 700 million baht so everyone can enjoy the games comfortably. Not just for **psychosocial groups**, but for anyone needing a break from the chaos.
Japan 🇯🇵 has been doing this since 2019 – 7 years ahead of us!
Thailand 🇹🇭 reportedly has some private hospitals with these spaces, but they’re rare elsewhere. Yet we have psychosocial communities, over 200K families with autistic children who need places for their kids to rest, exhausted workers, elderly people, and many others who process sensory input differently…
“Relaxing Space” isn’t just an amenity — it’s a “basic necessity,” no different from ramps or restrooms. This acknowledges that “everyone has different needs and requirements” — spaces like this should be available for everyone to decompress.
Japan did it. Italy did it. Thailand CAN absolutely do it!!!
Ministry regulations on accessibility facilities need updating, and public transport, buildings, venues, and major malls — we don’t need to wait for laws at all. In this era, work must move faster than light.
Who wants to do this, raise your hand. Of course we must co-design and drive this together.
Let’s create a piece of accessibility history together!!!
