Today, April 20, 2026, the disability allowance increases to 1,000 baht per month (up from 800 baht).
This 200 baht raise goes to all card holders with existing eligibility, deposited via PromptPay linked to their 13-digit national ID.
Children with disabilities already receiving 1,000 baht since 2020 won’t see an increase this round. State welfare card holders receive separate benefits: 300 baht for goods and 750 baht for transport.
Thailand actually has three support systems: general card holders get 1,000 baht, Section 33 insured workers receive 8,750 baht disability compensation, and state welfare card holders get over 1,150 baht in combined benefits.
This increase to 1,000 baht, though a small step, is still progress. Every change begins with a first step.
