Phu Kradueng — that beautiful heart-shaped mountain. But hearts that cannot climb have been locked away from this love for far too long.
Currently, there’s only one way to reach Phu Kradueng: a 6-8 hour trek on foot. Wheelchair users and people with mobility challenges remain completely excluded from this ASEAN Heritage Park national treasure.
Within 2 years, a cable car may change everything. The 1 billion baht project, with fares around 1,520 baht, would make the sea of mist accessible to everyone. Yet such a steep price creates another barrier, keeping many people out. We hope government agencies will consider reducing the cost.
Conservation versus access rights is a delicate balance. But Switzerland 🇨🇭, Japan 🇯🇵, and many of the world’s premier destinations have proven that cable cars can coexist with nature — when carefully planned.
A heart-shaped mountain should have a heart open to all.
