A few days ago, I received shocking news from my Japanese friends about the passing of Uncle Shoji. I had the chance to meet him once during my last trip to Japan.
Uncle Shoji was one of the activists and changemakers who helped shape Japan into what it is today. When we met, he told me, “Please help people with disabilities.”, Those words have stayed with me ever since.
Without a doubt, we will continue pushing for greater accessibility in every place we live.
Thank you, my deepest condolences, and may you rest in peace.
