At Accessibility Is Freedom, we try to make our media reach more people. Everyone should be able to access the same content.
Every post includes Thai 🇹🇭, English 🌐, and image descriptions. We have been doing this slowly and intentionally for a long time, while adjusting the tone and content to be more neutral.
WHO estimates that around 1.3 billion people, about 16% of the global population, experience significant disability. WHO also says at least 2.2 billion people of vision impairment.
In Thailand, DEP administrative registration data as of 30 April 2026 shows 2,276,970 registered persons with disabilities, including 168,763 registered persons with visual disability. These are registration counts, not total real-world prevalence.
But the numbers matter less than this question: “If tomorrow we could no longer see, what would we do?”
The world has had no borders for a long time. Technology should make life easier for all of us.
